FUNCTIONS
- Contribute to culturally enrich the population by applying the principles of social participation, established by the cultural policy.
- Try to increase social participation by strengthening and stimulating the cultural community interests.
- Work to preserve and foster the cultural traditions of the community by absorbing the most significant aspects of national and universal cultures.
- Contribute to form ethic and aesthetic values in children and adolescents. Pay attention to the groups that devote themselves to this activity in the Government and non Government institutions.
- Support the artistic working expectations within the National Education System.
- Increase the sensitiveness and appreciation of our (meglio Cuban) people towards artistic and literary events
- Transmit through courses, stages and seminars the socio-cultural animation work, thus improving the technical-scientific and professional level of the staff, the teachers and the professors in the National Education System and of other personalities involved in this field.
- Educate to a more cultured and aware use of free time by developing the creative potentialities of the different social classes.
- Promote and coordinate the active participation of the cultural institutions, social organizations and others to establish the Centre’s development programme in order to achieve other common objectives and provide socio-cultural perspective.
